Aquarelle by Victor Weller Concert career His concert career is marked by eclecticism, performing works from the Baroque, romantic and contemporary eras. He is regularly invited to perform in France and abroad (Holland, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Belgium, Poland, Austria, Denmark, Russia, Mexico and Japan ...), alone as well as with vocal ensembles and orchestras. He takes care to propose programs where the works to be played are put into the perspective of a theme or an idea, thus facilitating his audience to make fascinating musical journeys. Organist Olivier Penin was appointed organist of the tribune of the Great organ of the Basilica of Sainte Clotilde in Paris in 2004, a position he shared with Jacques Taddéi until 2012. Since then, he has been the sole holder of the Basilica's Great organ. He is responsible for the musical realisation of the masses as well as the artistic direction of the concerts on the second Saturday of the month. It takes place on the Great organ of the Basilica of St. Clotilde and is dedicated to the masters of Saint Clotilde and their sources of inspiration. He is also regularly invited to give masterclasses abroad (Poland, England, Croatia). Choir direction Trained as a choir director, Olivier Penin led the ensemble Ad Deum and in September 2019 founded the Ensemble Optimé, where he is artistic director. More information…. Recordings In addition to CDs which he recorded on the Great organ of the Basilica of Saint Clotilde, he regularly records videos for You Tube, allowing the listener to experience the music also on video on different organs.
