This Offertoire from Office 48 Festum Omnium Sanctorum is dedicated to Joseph Bonnet. Indeed, it was thanks to the encouragement of the organist of St Eustace that Tournemire began composing this gigantic corpus named "The Mystical Organ". The most famous work of Boely is part of the tradition of Bach's great preludes and foreshadows the great symphonic pieces of Franck, Guilmant and Gigout. The Fantasy drips with brilliant broken arpeggios, alternated with chords, while the Fugue states a subject that is reminiscent of the B.A.C.H. motive.
